The International Science Summer Camp 2018 is a MILSET Europe activity proudly organised by the Centre of Administration and Operations of the Czech Academy of Sciences

The programme include scientific, cultural and social activities.

Programme
  • Accommodation will be provided in the university dormitories. The dormitories are located 10 minutes from the city centre (metro station Dejvická).
  • The catering (breakfasts, lunches and dinners) will be provided in the university canteen.
  • Lectures and workshops will take place in the National Library of Technology located only 3 min on foot from the dormitories.
Accommodation

National Library of Technology

Lectures, workshops and group projects will take place in the National Library of Technology. The National Library of Technology (NTK) is the largest and oldest library of science and technology literature in the Czech Republic, with a collection of over 1.5 million volumes. The building itself is really fascinating and has even been included into the list of 8 Unique National Libraries Across the World.

The ELI Beamlines Research Center

The ELI Beamlines research center aspires to install and run the world’s most intense laser system. Its mission is to run an international laser research facility for revolutionary scientific experiments and applications in different areas. We will visits its headquarters on the outskirts of Prague on Monday afternoon.

Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics

One of the main objectives of the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics is to integrate information and cybernetic research and education at the Czech Technical University. We will hear about its research especially in the area of Industry 4.0 on Wednesday morning.
